Manuel Alexandre Júnior is retired Professor of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. He received his master's degree in Theology from the Denver Seminary (Colorado, USA) and, in 1986, he earned a PhD in Greek Literature from the University of Lisbon. With extensive experience in teaching classical and Hellenistic (biblical) Greek, he has been Professor of Greek Language and Literature for more than four decades and is the author of more than a dozen books, mostly devoted to the exegesis and interpretation of texts. Received in 1999 the Prize of Scientific and Technical Translation in Portuguese Language Union Latina (Foundation for Science and Technology, 7th Edition), for the translation of the Rhetoric of Aristotle.
