Mario del Valle

Mario del Valle. He was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, on November 28, 1945. Poet, narrator and editor. He studied painting at the Academy of San Carlos. He studied Spanish Literature at the FFyL of the UNAM. He has practiced cultural journalism. He was the founder of Ediciones Papeles Privados in 1981, specializing in poetry and art books. He has been an art and literature critic for publications such as El Día, Excelsior, El Financiero. He has participated as a speaker at various congresses in Mexico, the United States, Ireland and France. Invited reader at the University of New Mexico, United States, 1988. Invited poet in 1996 at the Annual Cúirt Literature Festival, in Galway, Ireland. First place for poetry in the Centenary of the Foundation of the National High School, 1965. Part of his work has appeared in anthologies such as Poets of a generation 1940-1949 (1981).
