Mario Escobar has a degree in History and a Diploma in Advanced Studies specialising in Modern History. He has written numerous articles and books on the Inquisition, the Protestant Reformation and religious sects. He is the executive director of an NGO and director of the magazine Nueva Historia para el Debate, collaborating as a columnist in various publications. Passionate about history and its enigmas, he has studied in depth the History of the Church, the different groups that have fought within it, and the discovery and colonisation of America, specialising in the lives of heterodox figures, both Spanish and American.
