Mario Muchnik (Buenos Aires, 1931 - Madrid, 2022) was an Argentine writer and editor - he lived in Spain since 1978. He was director of Seix Barral and created labels such as Anaya & Mario Muchnik. He translated authors such as Elias Canetti, Italo Calvino and Susan Sontag into Spanish. He also wrote autobiographical books that delve into the mind of the turn-of-the-century editor.
