Mark Taylor

Mark C. Taylor (Plainfield, New Jersey, 1945), a philosopher of religion and contributor to The New York Times and Los Angeles Times, studied at Harvard University and is professor of religion. Since 2007 he is director of the Department of Religion at Columbia University. He has written twenty books on theology, philosophy, architecture, technology, etc., including About Religion: Economies of Faith in Virtual Culture (1999), The Moment of Complexity (2003), Mystic Bones (2006) or Field notes from elsewhere. Reflections on living and dying (2009).
