Historian, archaeologist and egiptologist of world numbers, Nicolas Grimal is emeritus professor of the Collège de France and member of the Academy of Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres. Previously he was professor of the University of Paris-Sorbonne as professor of the Collège de France, where he was holder of the chair of Egypt. Ha sido, igualmente, director of the French Institute of Oriental Archeology (El Cairo), scientific director of the Franco-Egyptian Center for the Study of the Temples of Karnak and member of the Orient and Mediterranean Research Unit and the Documentation Center of the Institute of Civilizations of the National Center for Scientific Research.
