Born in 1946, he is a PhD in Philosophy and Literature and professor of Latin Philology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. An eclectic and interdisciplinary scholar of eras, cultures and methods, he is a pioneer in university research on cinematography and in the applications of audiovisual and computer media to research and teaching.
