Peter Pál Pelbart was born in Budapest in 1956. He came to Brazil as a young man; He went to study at the Sorbonne in Paris and returned to Brazil in the 1980s. He completed his master's and doctorate studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de São Paulo. Philosopher, translator and recognized reference in the field of studies and reflections about Gilles Deleuze, he works as a professor in the Department of Philosophy and in the Center for the Study of Subjectivity of the PUC-SP Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology. He founded and coordinates the Companhia Teatral Ueinzz group, in which he works with patients and ex-drug addicts of a psychiatric ward in São Paulo, and is one of the founders of Editorial n-1, which is dedicated to publishing “books- as-objects ”that update and problematize crucial contemporary questions.
