Renato Barilli

I was a studio office of the Collegio Venturoli in 1956. Graduated in Letters in 1958, I presented part of the neo-avant-garde of the sixties in the field of letters as a member of group 63.

From 1970 he has been inseminated Aesthetics and then from 1972 History of Contemporary Art at the University of Bologna, at the DAMS - where he was full professor of Phenomenology of styles from 1980 and where he headed the Visual Arts department. After leaving work in 2011, he remains professor emeritus [1] of the University of Bologna.

He has written numerous essays of history of art and of literary critique, occupying in particular of art and contemporary and Postmodern literature, and has curated numerous show. Parallelly to Achille Bonito Oliva's Transavanguardia has reached and promoted the group of Italian artists of the definite Nuovi-Nuovi ed this status brings and primes to interest themselves in the use of the computer and new media in the field of art.
