Sara Robles Ávila

Professor of Spanish Language, graduated in Spanish Philology (1991) and graduated in English Philology (1996). She has a PhD in Hispanic Philology (2000) and Extraordinary Doctorate Award.

Her teaching career began as a teacher of Spanish for foreigners in the International Spanish Courses at the UMA in 1991. Later, in 1995, she combined teaching work with management when she was appointed Coordinator of Studies of said Center. In 1999 she joined the Department of Spanish Philology, where she continues to carry out her academic and research activity.

Her research is carried out along three lines: the first, which stems from her doctoral thesis, is dedicated to the study of literary works from the linguistic point of view, and the works dedicated to the poetics of Jorge Guillén and Francisco Threshold. The second line of research is dedicated to the language of advertising, of which the books Highlight and appeal in the language of advertising, Arco/libros y editora de Aspectos y Perspectivas del Lenguaje de la Publicidad, Analecta Malacitana, Anejo LVI stand out. , his numerous contributions in monographs dedicated to the language of advertising, and his articles in prestigious magazines.

However, the most fruitful line of research is dedicated to applied linguistics and, specifically, to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, which has resulted in numerous research papers, as well as various manuals and materials for teaching Spanish. to foreigners published in prestigious publishers (Enclave ele, Anaya, Instituto Cervantes, etc.).
