Sigri Sandberg

Sigri Sandberg. Norway, 1975. Journalist, photographer and consultant. She has worked for various Norwegian media outlets for over twenty years. She has written several books on nature, wildlife philosophy, climate and the polar regions. She has a great passion for nature, the north and culture. She has worked in Eivindvik, at the top of the Sognefjorden and in Bergen, and has also been on land for over a year in Svalbard. In 2000 she started working for Dagens Næringsliv (DN), and has also worked for various media outlets, such as Dagbladet, Morgenbladet, Bergens Tidende (BT), Aftenposten, Klassekampen, Kvinner og Klær, D2, Stavanger Aftenblad, VG, Hjemmet and other newspapers and magazines. She has reported for the newspapers DN, BT and Ny Tid and has been an editor for Svalbardposten. She has published more than twenty books. She has written about culture, politics and Nordic affairs, but also about nature and everyday life. She has also worked at the Volksunter-Universität and in the field of research, in journalism and scientific research. In 2017 she was a member of the jury of Reiseskildringer and was awarded the prize for the best report in Norway by NRK in collaboration with the NFF.
