Stuart Isacoff, pianist and writer, was the founder of Piano Today magazine, which he has directed for nearly three decades. He currently collaborates in the cultural section of The Wall Street Journal and has also published articles in The New York Times, Chamber Music, Symphony, Musical America, Stagebill and in The New Grove Dictionary of American Music. He is also the author of Temperament: How Music Became a Battleground for the Great Minds of the Western Civilization (2007). Live in New Jersey.
