Father Timothy Gallagher, O.M.V., was ordained in 1979 as a member of the congregation of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, a religious community dedicated to retreats and spiritual formation, following the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. He obtained his doctorate in 1983 from the Gregorian University of Rome and since then he has dedicated himself fully to the teaching of the Ignatian spiritual tradition and the spiritual direction of retreats, both in the United States and in various countries of the world. He is the author of several books on the spiritual teaching of St. Ignatius of Loyola. He currently holds the St. Ignatius Chair for Spiritual Formation at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, United States.
