Tom R. Tyler is Macklin Fleming Professor of Law and Professor of Psychology at Yale Law School, as well as the Founding Director of The Justice Collaboratory. He joined Yale Law School in January 2012 as a professor of law and psychology. Previously, he was a university professor at New York University, where he taught both in the psychology department and in law school. Before joining New York University in 1997, he taught at the University of California, Berkeley, and Northwestern University. He has a degree in psychology from Columbia and a master's and doctorate in social psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
