His career as a lawyer led him to perform various functions, both administrative and judicial, among which have been Judge of the Tax Court of the Federation, Ambassador of Mexico in Austria, Hungary and Germany, as well as Deputy Director of Technical Income Tax and finally Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico, serving as its President from 1991 to 1994, inclusive. Since then he is Professor of General Theory of Law at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He has written several books among which pragmatic Reconstruction of the Theory of Law; Theory of Law and State; Logic and Law; The debate about Mytilene, and behavior of the boar. Two essays on the power: Kafka and Shakespeare.
