Ulrich Warnke (1945) studied biology, physics, geography and pedagogy. During his long experience as a professor at the University of Saarland, he laid a chair in biomedicine, biophysics, environmental medicine, physiological psychology and psychosomatism, preventive and bionic biology. Since 1989, he directs the technical biomedicine working group. He is a founding member of the Gesellschaft Für Technische Biologie und Bionik (Technical Biology and Bionics Association).
