Víctor Manuel Moncayo Cruz (1942–2026) was a prominent Colombian lawyer, political scientist and academic whose role as a compiler and anthologist was instrumental in the preservation of sociopolitical memory and critical thinking in Latin America. His editorial work was characterized by rescuing and structuring the legacy of key figures at a time when his works risked dispersing in the vastness of articles, conferences and loose essays.
