Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro

Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro is a writer and considers herself a lesbian terrorist. He has published books that denounce and make visible the relationships between anti-hegemonic, sex-diverse and interracial characters. Among his passionate literary approaches, he also promotes the discussion of Afro-identity, polyamory, and confrontation with the oppressor. She has won the 2013 PEN Club National Short Story Prize and the 2012 Puerto Rico Institute of Culture Prize, as well as the 2008 National Prize of the Institute of Puerto Rican Literature. She was selected in 2007 as one of the most important Latin American writers by the Hay Festival in Bogotá 39 in Colombia. It has been translated into English, Italian, French, German and Hungarian. In 2013 she participated in the OWWA Literary Congress, Organization of Women Writers of Africa in Accra, Ghana. Editorial Egales has also published "Cararazones" (2010) and "Lesbianas en clave caribeña" (2012).
