consonni is an interdependent publishing house with a cultural space in the Bilbao neighborhood of San Francisco. Since 1996 they have been producing critical culture and are currently committed to the written word as well as the whispered, heard, silenced, recited word; the word made into action, made into a body. From the expanded field of art, literature, radio and education aim to affect the world we inhabit and be affected by it.

Written in lower case and constantly mutating, consonni is an androgynous and polycephalous creature, with feminisms and listening as superpowers. Starting from the social and solidarity economy and a community of proximity, they support and amplify local and international creative talent.

We publish books, ebooks and podcasts with the aim of sharing extraordinary thinking, disrupting literary genres and going beyond essays and fiction. We produce art projects, workshops, meetings, debates, radio shows and artistic residencies in our space and in other places and cities, collaborating with a variety of accomplices.
