The question about the way of orienting life is revealed as one of the most serious and pressing. Both in its sacred meaning, which refers to a transcendent call, as in its secular conception, which links the feeling of happiness with one's own personal fulfillment, the word vocation wants to indicate the proper way the subject follows to perform successfully in life.

Perhaps this is why, when talking about vocation, those elements that make up the identity of the human being resonate: corporeality and spirituality, intimacy and relationality, intelligence and sensitivity, conscience and freedom, personal biography and collective history.

The disenchantment caused by axiological "liquidity", political demagogy, economic pragmatism, ecological uncertainty, digital narcissism and cultural uniformity in which the anthropology of the transhuman seems to have been installed, urges to develop a new model of vocational orientation that teach to live from "self-transcendence" and "personal ultimate", that is, from otherness, relationship, freedom and the gift. Since, without vocation, personal being is condemned to be treated and treated with indifference.
