Moral integrity divides philosophers into hard moralists and soft moralists: the apocalyptic virtues and those integrated into reality. However, both agree to take integrity as a cardinal virtue and to make the whole business of morality revolve around it. In this book, written somewhat contrary to the great tendencies of contemporary moral philosophy, the opposite will be argued: that iontegrity does not deserve so much effort and that it is wrong to take it too seriously.
