Hubert Jedin (Grossbriesen, Silesia, June 7, 1900 - Bonn, July 16, 1980) was a German historian, priest and writer who devoted most of his studies to research on the history of the Catholic Church, Ecumenical councils, particularly the Council of Trent. His most famous work is the Manual of history of the Church in ten volumes, 1975, of which he was co-author and coordinator, using the collaboration of some important historians of his time.
