The fundamental concepts for addressing the global politics of our time
The acceleration of the ecological emergency, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the advance of authoritarian populism, the genocide in the Gaza Strip, trade wars, the outbreak of the pandemic, as well as the energy and inflationary crisis, confirm that, far from experiencing a time of change, we are going through a true change of era.

Almost a century has passed since Antonio Gramsci wrote that "the crisis consists precisely in the fact that the old dies and the new cannot be born: in this interregnum the most varied morbid phenomena occur." Today, faced with an endless number of morbid phenomena, in a context of polycrises and geopolitical realignments, we find ourselves deeply disoriented: erratic in the analysis of the old and incapable of participating in the emergence of the new.

This collective work, led by political scientist and jurist Carlos Corrochano, is a tool to get out of this impasse. A compendium of critical voices, from Lea Ypi to Pablo Bustinduy, who have set out to renew the intellectual tools that allow us to build a different world-system.
