An essential text to understand mass phenomena and their relationship with subjectivity. That is, how the libidinal bond is built where the "I" is in the "we". For this, the author divides two texts: Mass and power by E. Canetti and Psychology of the masses and analysis of the self by S. Freud. From here he opens the field of his reflection based on the thought of León Rozitchner, especially his work The Thing and the Cross. This space has to do with the very materiality of subjectivity, with the archaic historicity of the body itself.

But this path -the author warns us- is in this instance only words. The royal road, the one that constitutes the recovery of the collective experience, the one that would not place beyond the fear of being touched has another materiality. From this perspective he affirms: “Marx said that humanity has long dreamed of possessing something that it only has to become aware of in order to really possess it. Consciousness, however, has been shown to be insufficient and sullen. Perhaps then what it is about is immersing yourself fully in the dream and its surroundings, to cross them and wake up to that sleeping hope. And then yes, face the possibility of contingency, embarking on the path of qualitatively modifying the relationship between the limits of the self and the world, combining new forms of us. Perhaps in this way we can tear off not only the illusory flowers that adorn our prison, but also the real chains that confine us to mere dreaming, and possess once and for all, now in reality, that thing that, elusive, insinuates itself only in dreams.
