Looking at cartography from the perspective of sexual dissidence enables a process of resignification that speaks in different terms, addresses different territories, and breaks with hegemonic cartographic ideals. This axis runs through the work of the three participating authors, revealing a potential that allows them to question, challenge, and imagine other possible experiences. This means accounting for the subjective and activating tools that demonstrate a political will. Addressing experiences that deviate from the norm requires different approaches that enable new imaginaries but do not forget the power relations and inequalities that underpin them. Ultimately, they demonstrate that we can create cartographies on our own terms.
