The attempt to situate oneself in the tension between structure and conjuncture, without falling into some form of dualism, constitutes the center of the problem discussed in this selection of essays. In this sense, the key category is that of "transindividual", a non-Althusserian category, which was forged by Simondon and later used by Balibar to rethink Spinoza and Marx: through this category it is possible to think about the thesis of the primacy of the relationship over the elements, a classic thesis of Althusserian structuralism, and the primacy of the encounter over the form, a central thesis for the writings on aleatory materialism of the eighties.
