Starting from the Greek mythology related to the god Pan, from which "panic" derives, this study analyzes collective phenomena contrasting psychosocial and psychoanalytic conceptions with systemic and game theories.
The word we give to these moments of disorder derives from Pan, the Greek god of shepherds, half man, half goat, paradigm of Arcadia, where the barbarism contained in the polis could resurface at any moment.
