Without the slightest hint of nostalgia, in spite of the ruin of the generalizations of the common left and right that populated the twentieth century, the thought of the community, like a stubborn ghost, again troubled the philosophers and shakes them hard.

Today, when those experiences have been put enough away so as not to give rise to the suspicion of being their fellow travelers while they are still close enough so that we can feel the effects of their bankruptcy, community thinking It must first of all explain why all the attempts made to establish a community political model have generated a powerful dose of negativity, translated both as a threat to the social order and as a tendency towards annihilation. Which, of course, has pushed them all to failure, helping to create in turn an increasing number of biopolitical defenses and, ultimately, autoimmune consequences.

In this line of thought, Roberto Esposito has made an essential contribution to unveil the co-implication of communitas and immunitas, discovering the underground action of the immune system as a true paradigm of modernity in its attempt to mitigate all the threats implicit in the Community initiative.

Incomunidad is the result of a pooling of studies about community thinking, that of Roberto Esposito in particular, but inevitably that of many others. And above all, by incorporating the threatening denial to the object of his thought (in-community), he does not propose the closure of his possibility, but on the contrary, he reopens it in the need to think about the arduous negativity that the community carries with it.
