Within the political phenomenon, the issue of democracy is so important that it is intended to legitimize the formation of state power. But it happens that democracy as a way of legitimizing government does not exist, because the fundamental conditions of its possibility, which are the freedom and equality of people, are null. It is, to use an analogy, as if we wanted to make mud without water and earth, or, more philosophically, as Kant says, it is not possible to grasp objectivity without space and time as the a priori forms of sensitivity. In other words, just as space and time are the conditions of all possible objectivity, so freedom and equality are the necessary and sufficient conditions for democracy to exist, and if this is not the case, as I intend to demonstrate, it will not exist as the best way of legitimizing public power.
