This book tells the story of a method, and also the story of a life. It is the story of Hebe Rosell, a survivor of the 20th century, the daughter of a blind poet—like Homer, who, in the end, is all poets—and a descendant of Jewish migrants. Hebe specialized in music therapy in Buenos Aires until, in 1975, after living in hiding, she had to go into exile. In Mexico, she has made music and joined the various social movements that sustain life today. At the same time, she has perfected a teaching method whose central motive has been not only the stage preparation of her students, but also giving them the opportunity to open the path to their own dignity and, from there, position themselves in art and life.
In these pages, Hebe shares the discoveries of a lifetime for those who want to learn to heal themselves through song.
