This scenario is largely the product of the battle waged against progressivism in the region, carried out through different strategies. Among the most successful and complex is lawfare or judicial war, which finds its origin in writings by American military personnel. The supremacy and abuse of the judicial apparatus, articulated with the manipulation of opinion operated by the media to expel certain leaders and groups from politics, with the immediate objective of restoring the neoliberal order, are some of the characteristics of this new form. of war.
Based on the detailed analysis of specific experiences in different Latin American countries, researchers from the Latin American Strategic Center for Geopolitics (Celag) took on the task of analyzing what lawfare is and how it works, showing what the hegemonic media prefers to silence. .
