Delirious would be the word to describe this work of masterful quality in the graphic part but somewhat complicated in its plot line. Like a book of old stories, texts illustrated with engravings of unusual beauty, Rita Mercedes presents, in effect, a work with hints of madness in which the adventures of a pair of lying friends who hate each other as much as they need each other are narrated, and each one fights on their own to achieve their personal satisfaction, but always with the aim of staying together. As if it were a revisitation of The Odyssey, by Homer, Mercedes embellishes her work in a way that recalls Doré and other engravers of the 19th century, with pieces of great artistic quality that illustrate this insane adventure.
