The emergence and expansion of a new virus in the industrial, political and scientific centre of central China at the end of 2019 will become a real threat to Western European civilisation at the beginning of 2020. Within a few days, nothing will remain untouched by the spread of the unknown coronavirus, and the biological, psychological, social, economic and political consequences on human life will soon have enormous scope.
The pandemic will be accompanied by an infodemic of official accounts, scientific explanations, political justifications, ecological considerations, epochal speculations, literary dystopias, as well as a confusing succession of economic exceptions, social experiments, constitutional emergencies, medical improvisations, etc.
