Federico Navarrete - (Mexico City, 1964) is a writer and historian. Specialist in pre-Hispanic cultures, he has published numerous books on the history and present of Mexico, including Mexico racista (2016), Hacia otra historia de América (2015) and Indigenous Peoples of Contemporary Mexico (2009). He has also written the novels Nahuales contra vampiros: I. From the sea to the mountain (2013) and Bones of lizard (1998). He is a researcher at the Institute of Historical Research of the UNAM.
