The main objective of this book is to understand Wittgenstein's ideas about the nature of psychological concepts in the historical context of his published and, above all, unpublished texts between 1929 and 1951. It closely examines the relationship between Wolfgang Köhler's Gestalt psychology and William James's psychological philosophy, on the one hand, and psychological philosophy, on the other.
