
Masses and Party: An Anthology (1910-1926) brings together a selection of pre-prison writings by the young Antonio Gramsci, drawn from recent critical revisions of his work, authorized by researchers and scholars of the Italian philosopher and politician's oeuvre. The anthology focuses on writings preceding the Prison Notebooks and Prison Letters. Before his imprisonment, Gramsci was a prolific and insightful writer and political essayist, as evidenced by his evolution from militant journalism to the democracy of the Councils, from the analysis of fascism to the "translation" of Leninism in the West, all chronologically reflected in this book.
