Vocation that makes the nocturnal question about the specificity of bodies impertinent. This vocation for clarity, which is also a philosophical vocation for the cares of the day, does not mean, however, that philosophy does not promote a certain understanding of sexual difference. On the contrary, I would like to establish that sexual difference appears as a hidden principle and nocturnal arrangement of body markings in philosophical narration. Nocturnal, subterranean ordering, which, in the manner of the titanid Métis, has taken various forms in the philosophical story. Love, androgyny, womb, mother, privacy, intimacy, family, contract are some of the names by which sexual difference has been named.
