The visual mastery of Michael Jackson (1958-2009) is a fundamental pillar in his career and his impact is enormous on very diverse plastic artists from the eighties until now, to the point that he became a reference of several, who did not hesitate to work from his iconic figure: Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Rufino Tamayo, Yasumasa Morimura, Marc Quinn, Paul McCarthy, David LaChapelle, Glenn Ligon, Gary Hume, Kehinde Wiley, Zou Cao and Yang Mian, among many others. The limits between the arts are today so fuzzy that, in my opinion, for example, there are not too many differences between the analysis of a video installation by Bill Viola or a clip of the King of Pop (like the excellent Scream).
