Accomplished 'globalization', all peoples and men, we are part of one world. We perceive why the differences which separate some and others are no longer absolute but relative. It is as if we were enjoying the realization of the ideal of humanity fulfilled, although we recognize that this is a fulfillment at least ironic. This situation, which integrates us without reference to all in the same World is unusual in history and represents a radical transformation of the conceptual frameworks that have been demarcating so far who they are and what they mean "the others", a transformation that even presages the disappearance their presence, their persistence only in hiding or masking. "The others" have become a question and this requires us to learn again to look at them.

Looks to others. Gods, cultures and civilizations aims to contribute to this necessary learning articulating their thoughts around four thematic motifs: should we rescue today looks to others made in other historical moments; what criteria now allow prospects to consolidate a true approach to the other eye; how to intervene effectively trasformadoramente to look to others for the current World; and finally, by way of illustration and integrator of the foregoing reasons, how to look in particular at those "others" who are supposedly for "Western" those belonging to the Muslim world.

The reflections that develop these reasons the researchers carried out from different Spanish and European universities. Testimony of its plurality and diversity was the Congress philosophy to the crisis of values, globalization and multiculturalism, held in Granada from 14 to 17 April 2010, which gave rise to this publication
