The present is a highly detailed edition of one of the most difficult texts of ancient Greek literature and the origins of Western thought. It is presented in bilingual version Greek-Castilian, being its artifice emérito professor of Greek Philology Alberto Bernabé (UCM). It accompanies this version of an apparatus of notes referring to both the Greek text and the translation. Also, the edition consists of a section dedicated to the news that tradition has sent us about the life and doctrines of Parmenides. The profound and suggestive reflections of Jorge Pérez de Tudela, professor of Philosophy at the UNAM, enrich the philological contribution with an Introduction to the original text and some comments in extenso of the possible interpretations of the same. Also worthy of note is the epilogue that closes the book, written by Nestor-Luis Cordero, specialist in ancient philosophy at the University of Rennes.
