The British Poetry Revival (Renaissance English poetry) took place approximately between 1965 and 1975, and refers to an explosion of publications in journals and books that showed a range of content and forms of expression hitherto unpublished in England. The poets included in this anthology were part of a drive that with the passage of time may be perceived as one of the great moments of poetry in English, something like what happened in the Elizabethan era or romance. The poets in this anthology practice a poetry that focuses on the real assuming a radical work with the language and all that this may require.
