After experiencing a series of sexist incidents, writer and activist Laura Bates founded the Project Sexismo Cotidiano in April 2012, a pioneering analysis of modern misogyny. It started with a website where people could share their experiences of daily sexism. From being harassed and whistled in the street, to workplace discrimination or sexual assault and rape, it is clear that sexism has been normalized in everyday life. But Bates' real goal is to inspire women to bring about real change.
