Hermida Editores presents for the first time to Spanish-speaking readers, in direct translation, this part of Emil Cioran's Romanian work that until now had remained unpublished and hardly mentioned.

Since 1931, when he was in his third year at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Bucharest, Cioran began to collaborate in different Bucharestian newspapers of the time, such as Mişcarea, Floarea de foc, Azi, Gîndirea, Calendarul, Vremea, Discobolul, Abecedar and Cuvintul.

Under the title Loneliness and Destiny [Singurǎtate şi destin] —“that beautiful title that sums up Cioran for me,” writes Simone Boué in her preface to the Notebooks—, this volume brings together a large part of the author's publicistic production, within of a period that includes his initial texts, the biennium that takes place in Germany (1933-1935) and his first years in France, until 1943.
