This collaborative book presents five ethnographic studies on one of the most important and characteristic cultural expressions of popular religion: religious festivals in various towns and cities of the Puebla-Tlaxcala Valley. It is important to note that this valley is home to a network of festive celebrations and several important sanctuaries, which draw crowds of people from different states across the country during their festivals. These include San Miguel del Milagro, Virgen de los Remedios, Niño Doctor, and Señor de los Trabajos, among others.
