Born in 1942 in Manila, Philippines, Medal was admitted at the age of 12 years at Columbia University in New York, on the recommendation of the poet Mark Van Doren. In Paris, in 1960, the philosopher Gaston Bachelard introduced the first performance of David in France at the Academy of Raymond Duncan brother of the American dancer Isadora Duncan. Years later, in Paris, the poet Louis Aragon (co-founder of Surrealism with André Breton) introduced another performance of medal and praised the Filipino artist as a genius. Marcel Duchamp made for him Medallic Sculpture in 1968. Between 1964 and 1966 edited the Signals Newsbulletin Medal in London. In 1967 he started the group The Exploding Galaxy, an international confluence of multimedia artists.
