Collection of essays to accompany the learning of the arts and their theoretical reflection

Ediciones Manivela presents Arte Affairs, a collection of eight volumes organized from questions, under which a set of essays and support materials is published.

Given the generality of the question, what is art? This collection presents questions that will involve different aspects of the artistic field. So what does an artist do? (Volume 1) and Do you need talent to be an artist? (volume 2) depart from the person who creates, produces, conceives or provokes the work, as a point of reflection on the artistic nature. On the other hand, the questions Are all art beautiful? (volume 4) and Can everything be art? (Volume 7) make an emphasis on the structure of the work, to give meaning to what would be artistic in it. Subsequently, the questions Why is it difficult to understand art? (Volume 3), Where is art displayed and protected? (volume 6) and Who says what is art? (Volume 5) are linked to the idea of ​​understanding art as a field of knowledge, which has codes, practices and why not, customs that distinguish it and differentiate it from other fields. Finally, the question: Is art useful for something? (Volume 8) seeks to put into play the idea of ​​the effectiveness of art and point out to what extent and under what conditions it has or not, a function and for whom.

The objective is to encourage the reading person, to begin in the arts; granting the necessary tools to carry out this learning path, each time with greater autonomy. Directed to youth between 17 and 21 years.
