The students and teachers who today have to struggle and thrive in the educational system are caught in a contradiction. On the one hand, they are under the requirement to be innovative in the results they produce and for which they will be judged: from research projects to articles for professional journals, through end-of-degree projects and master's and doctoral theses. But, on the other hand, the pedagogical system does not encourage the much desired originality. Our formal education gives priority to the accumulation and repetition of knowledge about "know-how".
