Alberto Carpio was born in Seville in 1983. He holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Seville, and in 2009 he completed a master's degree in Hispanic Studies at the University of Cádiz, specializing in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. He is currently investigating the work of Claudio Rodríguez at the University of Valladolid. Diners is her first published work and has been awarded the XI Poetry Prize "Emilio Prados".
