Antonio Pereira (Villafranca del Bierzo, León, 1923-Madrid, 2009) began writing from a young age, although it would take until the sixties for his emergence as a writer. His poetry book The return is published in the prestigious Adonais collection in 1964, A window to the road, his first storybook, he received the Leopoldo Alas award in 1966 and his novel A site for Soledad is published in 1969. From there, A copious literary production is developed that has been endorsed by prestigious awards, such as the Fastenrath Prize of the Royal Spanish Academy or the Castilla y León Prize for Literature.
