Daughter of Franz Liszt, married in 1857 with the famous pianist and conductor Hans von Bülow, Liszt pupil and friend of Richard Wagner. In 1864 he began his relationship with Wagner, whom he married in 1870 the couple lived first and then Tribschen Bayreuth, where the composer Cosima helped organize the first festival (1876). Between 1869 and 1883, he captured in his daily life in common with Wagner. The last entry is the day before the death of this. In these annotations also data and insights that illuminate the personality and thought of Friedrich Nietzsche are collected. Following Wagner's death, he became director of the Bayreuth Festival.
